Two other bids gave me a square price and a shingle brand. This one had the rake starter, the edge metal and the nail count broken out, and when I asked why it mattered I got an explanation about how open our lot is rather than a sales pitch. The crew reran the gutter hangers tighter on the west side without being asked.

They inspected in March, showed me photos of tabs lifting along both rakes, and then told me the field of the roof had years left and quoted a repair instead of the replacement I was braced for. Came back in April, did the edges and the ridge, and the ceiling stain never came back.

I had been talked into a coating quote for my shingle roof by somebody else. These folks explained why that would trap moisture and do nothing for the actual problem, then walked the whole roof and found the leak at the chimney. Cut the counterflashing into the mortar and it has been dry through two winters.

New house, four years old, and the soffit panels kept popping out on the north side facing the field. They refastened the receiver channel properly, cut the panels with a real expansion gap, and explained why the original installer's spacing was never going to hold out here. No drama and a fair price.
